Hi, when I download weather widgets, I can never personalize it to my city and prov. I'm from Canada and tried everything in the book.  Is it because these widgets don't work in Canada... I used to be able to use them.  I get the message '' not a good code or area code and the same popup  still comes back after I delete it and I can't get rid of this popup... Help me please.

I have Windows XP, SP3. Impulse in installed and all the features from Object Dextop...

As per usual I spent too long pecking on the keyboard.  I'll just leave this part:

After a lot of effort by the DTX widget community there have been several new weather widgets created which work, about the 1st page of the DTX Widget gallery at this point.

a lot of the newly updated ones - like from Redneckdude and Richard Mohler are tied thru NOAA and WeatherUnderground

just type in "canada"  - no quotes and wait, you'll get a drop down with the available cities

I've had this problem before.  The answer is to input the data correctly.  Like "City, Canada, Province".

although the  widget that comes with My Colors Green Mint, occosionally displays the dates and days incorrect.y.  Like presently, on Sunday October 4 2009, it shows the following forecasts:  today as Friday October 4th, Saturday and Sunday.  And when I look at the clock in the system tray, it says Sunday, October 4th.

If he's trying to use a widget that tries to access the old Weather.com feed - virtually all of the old non-MyColors widgets - it doesn't matter how he enters the location, the data feed simply isn't there any more and he'll get stuck in the loop he's describing.  The MyColors gadgets use the AccuWeather feed and aren't affected.

I've seen the date issue you're describing with the AccuWeather gadgets mentioned before, but I don't think I've seen a solution for it.  You could try clearing the DTX cache but I'm thinking that doesn't fix it.
